All our day trips from Edinburgh leave from and return to the city centre. For details, check out our departure point address.

Most tours start in the morning, between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM, and return in the evening, between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM, depending on the tour. Some tours may fall outside this range, so please check each tour page for the exact departure and return times.

Tour lengths vary depending on the itinerary, but most day tours run between 8 and 13 hours. Check the FAQ section on each tour page for specific times. Keep in mind that all durations are estimates and can be affected by weather or traffic.

We offer both small group tours and standard group tours from Edinburgh.

  • Small group tours have a maximum of 16 passengers. These usually run on a mini coach, though on occasion a slightly larger vehicle may be used if needed.
  • Standard group tours operate on midi-sized coaches and can carry up to 34 passengers.

If a tour is not labelled as small group, it operates as a standard group tour.

Yes, we also operate tours from Inverness and Glasgow.

We welcome travellers of all ages, however, children must be at least 5 years old to join. While our tours are generally easy-going with no upper-age limit, we recommend that anyone with limited mobility or other accessibility needs read our accessibility statement before booking.

The price of your day tour from Edinburgh always includes a local driver-guide and transport on our coaches. Some tours include additional experiences, while others give you the option to add extras for more flexibility. Add-ons can be selected when you book (for an extra charge) or paid for locally at the attraction.

Cancellation policies vary depending on the tour. Most of our scheduled day tours from Edinburgh allow cancellations up to 24 hours before the tour starts for a full refund, but some tours may have different rules.
